Vinayaka Mission's College of Physical Education - Salem

The Vinayaka Mission‛s College of Physical Education (VMCPE), Salem is a constituent college of Vinayaka Missions University, Salem. The college has been functioning since the academic year 2005-06, on getting the approval from the National Council for Teacher Education, Bangalore. The college, from its inception has been actively involved in various extension services, which include organizing various sports and games activities for other institutions and associations in the Salem, Namakkal, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri and Erode districts. The academic courses conducted by the college are B.P.E. (3 years), B.P.Ed. (1 year), M.Phil. and Ph.D. (Full Time / Part Time) in Physical Education. The college is fully equipped with a library and laboratory facilities in various disciplines like sports medicine, sports psychology, sports management and exercise physiology to conduct various physical, physiological, psychological and motor fitness tests. The college strives also to help the students develop their personality to enable them to reach great academic heights. On graduation the students assume offices of lecture or Director of Physical Education at various colleges and universities so also Physical Education teachers in the different schools in Tamil Nadu. Many of our students have joined the uniform services like the defence, especially the Tamil Nadu Police and Fire Service. The college has earned for itself the reputation of a well-disciplined college where the thrust is on quality education for the young minds.
